Just south of Bristol, Rockaway Park is home to a community of diverse and interdependent talents. At the core of the community, is the belief that collaboration and collectivism, sharing work, vision and ideas, are how all great creations take hold and manifest.  

 

In 2021, between lockdowns and confusion, I asked Mark Wilson, curator of Rockaway Park, if I could make some field recordings around the yard.  I thought it could make a nice sample library and I thought too that I could give it away so that others could re-use the re-used to make music.

The sample library is small, less than 290MB uncompressed and was made mostly with a simple contact mic.  The sounds are mostly musical, trimmed and pitched ready for beats and tunes.  Original field recordings are included.

The sample library is licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution International license (CC BY 4.0).  Basically, you can do what you want with it - so long as you give a credit.
