small boat: adrift

A lost vessel drifts through shifting sonic currents, carrying memories, unresolved feelings and fragments of forgotten shores.

An immersive collection of minimal, textured pads with rough digital edges, overlapping drawn-out rhythms, and dark ambient motifs, often incorporating heavily processed field recordings from Ken’s personal archive.

"Ken Peel sets out to sea knowing you can’t always change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust the sails and, if not reach a destination, then at least stay afloat. In trying troubling times it’s always good to hear music which affects not just our feelings but the organ of pure contemplation, our imagination, the ultimate destination."

Paul Morley

"Ken Peel’s latest album is a mesmerizing journey through smooth, dark and light ambient soundscapes. Blending genres with effortless finesse, each track draws the listener into a meditative, thought-provoking experience. It’s a sonic exploration that’s as introspective as it is immersive, perfect for late-night listening or deep creative focus. A must-hear for fans of ambient music with depth and edge."
